The peaceful Villa Bahagia is a luxury Bali rental villa, resting on 1270 square metres of land beside the rice fields, and blessed with beautiful rural views. It is located just 10 minutes' drive from the beach, shops and the internationally acclaimed restaurants of trendy Seminyak, on Bali's south western coast.
The contemporary Balinese architecture presents four air-conditioned bedrooms, complete with ensuite bathrooms, an additional bedroom suitable for a child, a sizeable living and dining room open to the garden, a gazebo with large built-in sofas, and a fully equipped kitchen. This two-storey holiday villa in Bali is complemented by a pretty garden with a flat lawn and a 14 x 6 metre swimming pool, together with a relaxation pavilion. The villa and garden are surrounded by high walls for privacy, and the name Bahagia is taken from the Indonesian word for happy.
There are four air-conditioned master bedrooms at Villa Bahagia, complete with ensuite bathrooms, picture windows and large sliding glass doors. One of the bedrooms has an adjoining office that can be used as a single bedroom, suitable for a child. Two bedrooms are located downstairs and two are situated upstairs; each is characterised by fresh white walls, flat ceilings and timber floors. Two of the bedrooms are furnished with queen size beds, while the other two bedrooms have twin beds, which convert to king size beds. Other furnishings include wardrobes, bedside tables, chests and chairs. Alcoves showcase Indonesia artefacts, and the walls are adorned with local artwork or framed black & white photographs of Bali. The two Master Rooms have the additional facility of a dressing area with a dressing table and large mirror. The upstairs Master Bedroom opens onto a romantic stone balcony furnished with a wicker chair and table. From here, there is a beautiful view across the rice fields. The spare room is accessed via the smaller of the two bedrooms on the upper floor; it opens onto a sunny Palimanan stone terrace bordered by plants and flowers. Each bedroom is equipped with a safe deposit box.
Each ensuite bathroom has its own distinct characteristics; each is fashioned in light grey terrazzo, and fitted with a bath tub, walk-in shower, double washbasins and a toilet. The two downstairs bathrooms are each complemented by a pebbled courtyard planted with green foliage. Each is fitted with an oversized bathtub and an outdoor shower. Surrounded by walls, these garden bathrooms are totally private. The two upstairs bathrooms are cool and breezy due to the shuttered glassless windows. Each features a walk-in rainshower and an oversized bathtub.
Living & Dining Room
The spacious Living Room is located in the heart of the villa under a soaring roof. Open to the garden and swimming pool, this room is cooled by ceiling fans and natural breezes, and furnished with a woven cane sofa and chairs. WiFi Internet access has also been installed at the property for the convenience of the guests. Two steps lead up into the dining room, which is positioned next to the kitchen and furnished with a table for ten. Next to the dining room is another sitting area equipped with a satellite TV, DVD player and surround sound system.
The modern kitchen, where the staff will prepare a wide range of delicious meals from an innovative menu, is fully equipped with wooden cupboards and stainless steel fittings. A laundry is situated at the back of the kitchen.
Garden & Pool
The villa presents an enticing 14 x 6 metre swimming pool, which runs the width of the property at the top end. The garden also features terraces, areas for relaxing, a Palimanan sundeck with sun loungers and umbrellas, and a thatched 'bale' - a traditional Balinese relaxation pavilion, with a daybed, situated on one side of the pool. Adjoining the villa is an elevated open sided gazebo with a high pitched roof, a ceiling fan, an antique table and built in cushioned seating. There is a guest washroom leading off the courtyard at the main entrance, and a secure car parking area.
Villa Bahagia located next to the traditional village of Umalas and just ten minutes' drive from Batubelig beach on Bali's southwestern coast. This out of town setting presents the double attraction of being close to everything that guests might need, while also offering visitors a privileged insight into the traditions of rural Bali. Positioned on a hill, the villa is blessed with beautiful views, enhanced on clear days by the magical sight of the Bali's mountain range extending from Mt Agung in the east to Mt Batukaru in the west. The trendy Seminyak area, with its wide choice of international restaurants - including the famous 'Ku de Ta', 'Kafe Warisan', 'Living Room', 'Hu'u, 'La Lucciola' and 'Sarong' - together with a plethora of chic cocktail bars, exciting nightclubs, lavish spas and elegant shops, is a mere 10 minutes' drive away. High season period: July 1 - 31, September 1 - 15, Chinese New Year, Easter Week.

Minimum stay: LOW season: 3 nights; HIGH season: 7 nights; PEAK season: 15 nights.

All enquiries can only be held for 5 working days without guarantee deposit. A deposit of 50% of the rental amount should be received within five (5) working days after confirmation of reservation has been given. Full payment is required within five (5) days or immediately if booking is made less than 61 days prior to arrival (or 91 days for Christmas/New Year bookings). Final payment is required 61 days prior to arrival (91 days for Christmas/New Year bookings). Any bank transfer charges are the responsibility of the guests.
- Cancellation Policy
Notice of cancellation must be received in writing. Deposits will be refunded in full less USD 150.00, if the reservation is cancelled 61 days or more prior to arrival (91 days for Christmas/New Year bookings). In the event a reservation is cancelled less than 61 days prior to arrival (or 91 days for Christmas/New Year bookings) the deposit will be forfeited. Final payments are non-refundable.
